Dear Students and Friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I send this message to let you know that, for a myriad of personal and professional reasons, I have decided to return to my former teaching position at the Dancing Made Easy School of Dance in Westminster, MD.  Therefore, I will not be returning to the Eastern shore area to teach ballroom dance on a weekly basis in 2009.  Although I will miss seeing many of you on a regular basis, I am excited about returning to teach in Westminster, MD.

The YMCA in Salisbury, MD, will continue its ballroom dance program in 2009.  The details are still being worked out, and I will do my best to keep you informed as things become more definite.  What we know right now is that beginner ballroom classes will be offered on Monday evenings starting in January.  As 2009 approaches, you can contact the YMCA directly to get more info about these classes.  Plans are also being made for me to conduct some dance workshops on a monthly basis during the late winter/early spring of 2009.  The details will be posted on my website once they have been finalized.

I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching and getting to know each of you over the past 3 years.  I want to publicly thank the Mid-Shore Family YMCA and especially Amy Sorg for their unwavering support of my efforts to bring ballroom dancing to the Eastern shore since September 2005.  Most recently, too, I have enjoyed my association with Rhonda Morgan Schiffer and the Indian River School District Adult Education Program, and teaching classes in Selbyville, DE.

If you find yourselves on the Western shore visiting Baltimore or the surrounding areas, I hope you will consider visiting me at Dancing Made Easy.  My phone number will remain 301-502-4344…..please keep in touch.  In the meantime, I hope to see you at our Halloween and holiday dances scheduled for Friday, October 31, and Saturday, December 13, 2008.

With much gratitude and appreciation for your support, I wish each of you health, happiness, and prosperity in the dance of life!

Fondly,
Alice
